This package measures your fasting glucose and HbA1c levels. It also includes a collection of screenings commonly ordered at an annual health visit to help evaluate your overall health by measuring a variety of components including cholesterol and lipids, calcium, electrolytes, as well as liver and kidney function. 

If you have been previously diagnosed with diabetes, this screening can be used to monitor aspects of your condition under the supervision of your healthcare provider.

Screening Recommendations

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services recommends that you should be tested if you are:1 Older than 45 years or are overweight, younger than 45 years, and have one or more additional risk factors, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, family history of diabetes, African-American, Asian-American, Latino/Hispanic-American, Native American or of Pacific Islander descent and history of gestational diabetes (diabetes during pregnancy) or delivering a baby more than 9 pounds.
